If Only

He loved her like there was no tomorrow. (If Only, 2004)

A movie that made many girls cry. It even made my Mama cry. I watched this movie with my highschool girl friends some years ago. We were really touched by the sweet gestures of the guy in the movie. I watched it again with my Mama when we bought our own dvd. She cried so much in the movie. I cried too but I have a small smile in my face. She knows that I like tragic endings and she doesn't. Until, now when I say "If Only" to her, she always remember the movie! :)

This movie will always be a reminder of giving love as much you can. Also, it's not all about love but how much time you can give to someone you love. You can never learn how to love through rules & lectures. It is when you stop and look at the person and ask yourself, what can you do to make him/her happy?

I had the chance to watch the movie again yesterday. Our cables' busted and I don't have anything to do because I'm still thinking what to read next. Then I saw the movie on our dvd rack. I watched it again and appreciated the movie more. I forgot that the movie was shot in London... Oh! London. :)

And now because of the movie, I can't help but to put Jennifer Love Hewitt's songs in my cellphone! :)
JLH, composed the two songs she sang in the movie, awesome right?

Take My Heart Back

Love will show you everything
this part is one of the heartwarming scene. Ian made Sam's dream happen. gosh! *tears*

and the most epic lines in the movie:

Ian Wyndham: I Love you.
Samantha Andrews: Ooh I Love you too.
Ian Wyndham: I wanna tell you why I love you.
Samantha Andrews: It's... It's raining, you know that right.
Ian Wyndham: I have to tell you this and you need to hear it. I loved you since I met you, but I wouldn't allow myself to truly feel it until today. I was always thinking ahead, making decisions soaked with fear... Today, because of you... what I learned from you; every choice I made was different and my life has completely changed... and I've learned that if you do that, then you're living your life fully... it doesn't matter if you have five minutes or fifty years. Samantha if not for today, if not for you I would never have known love at all... So thank you for being the person who taught me to love... and to be love.
Samantha Andrews: I don't know what to say.
Ian Wyndham: You don't have to say anything... I just wanted to tell you.

Have a good night everyone!

You can erase any horrible experience from your past. What will it be?

I have many painful memories in my life but I don't want to erase any of it. It is a reminder that I am human and i can make mistakes. :)

Let's talk and forget the world

The reason why I'm silent

Not only because of This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen but books. I have many things on my mind right now and I need to escape. Thanks to my beloved books...

Just finished this book awhile ago. And some lines in the books, touched my heart.

"Love is needing someone. Love is putting up with someone's bad qualities because they somehow complete you."
"Some things don't last forever, but some things do. Like a good song, or a good book, or a good memory you can take out and unfold in your darkest times, pressing down on the corners and peering in close, hoping you still recognize the person you see there."

"No relationship is perfect, ever. There are always some ways you have to bend, to compromise, to give something up in order to gain something greater...The love we have for each other is bigger than these small differences. And that's the key. It's like a big pie chart, and the love in a relationship has to be the biggest piece. Love can make up for a lot."

So, I'm going to find a book again to escape reality. Have a good night everyone.

Groovy Kind of Love Chicken Dance

Aside from other television series, New Girl is also my (new) favorite. I love Zooey Deschanel in 500 Days of Summer as "Summer" and also she has an awesome voice. I was really hesitant when my friends told me about this series but I love Zooey and learned that the series is just 20 - 24 minutes. So, I watched it.

This clip is from the different scenes in the first three episodes. Groovy Kind of love was played in the wedding (3rd episode) and Jess is so excited to do the chicken dance....  "Jess" is so aDORKable. She's so cuute! haha! I hope you'll watch this adorable series too. :)

Have a good night! Can't wait for November 1 for the next episode! :)

Hart of Dixie

Yes, I am a very random person. Aside from I can read anything, I am also open to new television series. Actually, everytime my brother suggest new tv series, I would watch it and end up loving it. Then Hart of Dixie happened. I love Rachel Bilson and I have a thing for Southerners, countryside, country music (HOD has the awesome sound tracks!) ... Soul searching... dreaming of something very big but you failed to achieve it and you go some place where you can find yourself again... plots like that have a very big place in my heart. Maybe, that's why I'm now addicted  to Hart of Dixie.. As of the moment, I can relate to Dr. Zoe Hart. :)

Gosh, so many awesome tv series, so little time! :)

Let me end this blog with an inspiring song from one of the background songs in the series.

Little Miss - Sugarland

Little Miss done on love,
Little Miss I give up,
Little Miss I'll get tough, don't you worry 'bout me anymore

Little Miss checkered dress,
Little Miss one big mess,
Little Miss I'll take less when I always knew so much more

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright,
Yeah, sometimes ya gotta lose 'til ya win,
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright,
It'll be alright again, it'll be alright again

I'm okay, It'll be alright again, I'm okay (okay) It'll be alright again, I'm okay

Little Miss do your best,
Little Miss never rest,
Little Miss, be my guest, I'll make more anytime it runs out

Little Miss you'll go far,
Little Miss hide your scars,
Little Miss who you are is so much more than you like to talk about

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright,
Yeah, sometimes ya gotta lose 'til ya win,
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright,
It'll be alright again, it'll be alright again,
I'm okay, It'll be alright again, I'm okay (okay) It'll be alright again, I'm okay

Hold on, hold on, you are loved, are loved

Little Miss brand new start,
Little Miss do your part,
Little Miss big ole heart beats wide open, she's ready now for love

It's alright, it's alright, it's alright,
Yeah, sometimes ya gotta lose 'til ya win,
It's alright, it's alright, it's alright,
It'll be alright again, it'll be alright again
I'm okay, It'll be alright again, I'm okay (okay) It'll be alright again, I'm okay,
It'll be alright again

“You can never connect the dots looking forward; you can only connect them looking backwards.” -Steve Jobs

I do not have any Apple products but Steve Jobs really inspired me especially when I watched the video of his Commencement Speech in Stanford University, 2005.
I remember when he said:
“Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish.” It was their farewell message as they signed off. Stay Hungry. Stay Foolish. And I have always wished that for myself. And now, as you graduate to begin anew, I wish that for you. “
Now that he’s gone, he will always be remembered as the man who is a great  innovator and a genius .
RIP, Sir!

This post was supposed to be published last Thursday but multiply failed me. :'( I thought it still cross post my blogs from multiply to blogspot... hmmm. I need to check on that. Anyway... Steve Jobs! You're the man! :)

I cried while watching Hart of Dixie and I’ve just watched the 1st episode, gosh I’m such a cry baby! And a realization: I think I really want to be a doctor.. Omigosh, what did I say?

Derena Fan Forever

Jenny: Come on, Dan, Serena said hi to you at a ninth grade birthday party and you've never forgotten it.
Dan: How could I? She was the only person who spoke to me.

I think this part in season 1 is one of my inspiration when I made this derena poem. I submitted this for a literary book but it didn't make the cut. I still treasure it because it always reminds me of Dan and Serena.

Lifesaver
You were just a fantasy
who swooned me to perfect ecstasy
I am a nobody
And you are never a needy

Alone in a crowded room
You came and made my life bloom
Everyone seems so racy
But you stepped down and made me happy

For once, in my whole existence
Somebody honored my presence
When I thought nobody’s worth it
An angel fell that made me not to quit

Currently listening....

As much as I love books, I also love music... That is why, I decided to make "currently listening..." like my usual "Currently reading..." blog posts.

Whenever I love a song, I have the tendency to put it on repeat... When I listen to songs in my Itunes, I usually choose the "top 25 most played" playlist. On the top of my list is Landslide -- a cover of Santana  and Britanny in Glee with 135 plays... uh -oh! As of this time... I had a song played 154 times, Leather and Lace -- Casey Weston and Tim Mahoney's version in The Voice... gooosh! :))

It doesn't matter if its classic, pop, rock, ballads.. whatever! anything, I listen to it.... haha!

So now, I'm sharing the songs that I'm really addicted to.. And I hope you'll like it too.

A drop in the ocean by Ron Pope

I don't wanna waste the weekend, If you don't love me, pretend A few more hours, then it's time to go.
And as my train rolls down the East coast, I wonder how you'll keep warm. It's too late to cry, too broken to move on.

I have to admit, I knew this song because of The Vampire Diaries. I think it was played when Stefan called Elena. And really! I died!!!!! kill me, kill me, I got teary eyed hearing Elena's words " I love You Stefan. Hold on to that. Never let that go..."

Fix a heart by Demi Lovato

''It's like your pouring salt on my cuts, you can bandage the damage. You never really can fix a heart.''

Actually, Demi Lovato's Unbroken album is on my playlist, also try Lightweight, Mistake, Give your Heart a Break, (of course) Skyscraper, Together (with Jason Derulo)

How to Love by Lil Wayne

I don't understand why people bash this song and Lil Wayne. Well, I don't know what's up with Lil Wayne and his past but Seriously?, this song has a heart. Listen to the song guys.. Reflect on the lyrics... and the video's good too.

Casey Weston's version of i will always love you in the voice

I'm really not a fan of the song but I could say the original version's still the best (Whitney Houston). But, when I heard Casey's version --its the time that i downloaded the song and listen to it before I go to sleep. She did her own version of the song... and I can say that she nailed it...

So there you go guys, these songs are the ones I listen to before i go to sleep. Whatta lullaby. hmmmm. :)

Traveling with Before Ever After

Before Ever After by Samantha Sotto (I'm so proud of you Ms. Samantha! Yes, guys! She's a Filipina) :)

As much as I'm a fan of Happy "Never" Endings, I also adore happy endings. I came to love Shelley as I am traveling (meaning: I enjoy reading the book) with her. I can say that I loooove Max's stories but there are times that I go back to some pages just to remember the other stories. Still, I really find them very believable!

I learned life lessons in the book. Many life lessons.

I admire Shelley, I even share some of Shelley's frustrations about life. Like Shelley, I fall in love with Max and his chickens! :)

"Escape" -- she wanted to do that with her life but the trip taught her the opposite.

I was really attached with the other characters that I cried with them as they share the most painful moments of their lives.

I ♥ everyone but Dex (story) pinched my heart the most and Rose' courage occupied a big space in my heart. :) Who are they? well... Read the book!

Some lessons/quotes from the book:

(Rose)"I have every reason to be sad, but i don't have any reason to mourn. People grieve when things end. Nothing has ended tonight. One of has simply gone ahead as we always knew it would have to be...."

"Life is a strong drink  served up in an extremely short-and fragile-shot glass."

"... I'll always have something that not even time can take away. Pain. ...because when I've forgotten everything else, I'll feel that ache... that tightness in my throat... that heaviness in my chest... and know that I loved a woman once and she loved me back. It's proof that I existed and so did she."

"..People loved differently. They loved slowly and cautiously because their hearts broke more easily than clay."

"Death is never swift... No matter how those left behind would like to comfort themselves with the thought."

"Life is a barter of choice and consequences."
