Disclaimer: This video is from CW Gossip Girl Season 4 Episode 2
I know this is not the best piece to post after months of being absent in my blogger account. I just can't help it. I even downloaded this scene from youtube aside from my copy of the full episode 2. call me, addicted yes! I am.
I've been very vocal that I'm a Derena fan eversince the pilot episode of Season 1.. until now actually. Well, I have to face it Maybe S and D weren't meant to be together now. Maybe on the next episodes! LOL..
And at first I hate Chuck Bass but before Season 2 ends and during Season 3, Chuck Bass gained my respect (who am i? I'm just a fan). I'm a Blair/Nate fan. but then I realized Blair and Chuck compliments each other (oh! my gosh my friend will kill me!). Two spoiled brats with a soft heart. Something extraordinary.
Something that would guarantee you that their life would be full of lies, pretensions and yeah, mixed with LOVE.
Of all the characters in Gossip Girl, I admire the guys, Chuck, Dan and Nate. They're more mature than the girls. And yeah Chuck Bass, he changed. Major change and that's because of Blair Waldorf, its just sad to know that Season 3 is not their year.
Well, this video really made me teary-eyed. Yesterday, I watched this scene 6 times and now almost 10 times. I don't know, it maybe dramatic but I just adore how Leighton Meester can portray Blair Waldorf excellently. And Ed Westwick's (Chuck Bass) eyes when Blair said: I don't love you anymore... My gosh! I felt the pain. It hurts until now.
And Leighton is so fab! still poised while controlling her tears. I can't explain the feeling while watching them, its like watching a real couple "who have loved and hurt each other, its like wanting to hold each other again but they can't because it will just hurt more."
For me this scene manifests that yeah sometimes love is not enough. :'(
Leighton Meester and Ed Westwick you did it again.
I'm quoting Mister Meester from roundtable discussion in GGinsider:
" Ed Westwick and Leighton Meester absolutely killed that scene. The way they conveyed such mixed emotions was so impressive."
I super duper agree.
And I just love how the song Im in here by Sia is playing in the background. It sucks men (translation: It made me feel sad more! and now I'm addicted with the song too.)
Chuck: I destroyed the only thing that I ever loved.
(Blair * deep breath)
Blair: I don’t love you anymore. But it takes more than
even you to destroy a Blair Waldorf.
Chuck: Your world will be easier if I didn’t come back.
Blair: That’s true. But it wouldn’t be my world without you in it.
