Land of what might have been's byebye 2009

As I look back on my year ender blog last 2008, I realized that I've been a grown up na pala.
I had a great 2009. I'm not saying that its all about smiles. There are times that I've been depressed, sad and stressed out. pero more pa rin ang laughter.

Compared to last year, I've been happier this year. Despite the Ondoy/Pepeng, Media -related Issues, my life has been smooth sailing. Did I get the right term?

Well so much for that, I need to finish this until 2010 arrives.

First, I want to thank God for everything. I know I've been a bad girl but he still blessed me with things and people who made me a better person.

I thank God for:

the gadgets that I received this year, I promise that I will take care of it.
And thank you Lord for Papa, Mama and Tita. Love them so much
Thanks for my beloved brother, my clown. LOL love you kuya.

I also thank God for my friends. Everyone! you made my 2009 special :)

Well. the pictures say it all.

I LOVE YOU 2009!
It's sad that you will leave na.

No new year's resolution for me. I made a list last year but, I really forgot what is on the list.
So I'll just wish that next year will be better.
Each and everyday, even if I'm trying to get out of my shell I know that I would still be the friend that everyone knows.

BYE BYE 2009! I had a great year!

HELLO and KISSES to you
my 2010! welcome!

From Upper East Siders to School Loser then back to my favorite Creek

Gossip Girl, Glee and Dawson's Creek

Gossip Girl the tv series that was hated by parents. But, it's the series that made me gaga over the fictional characters of Serena, Blair, Nate, Chuck, Dan, Jenny, Rufus, Lily and Vanessa.
Georgina, eric.
I don't know. I think it has a certain story that makes me crave for more. Besides the fashion style and luxurious life. It is in New York. One of my dream places.

And, I love how the characters started with the high school-ish life and now in season 3, it seems like everyone's growing up. And they are facing a new life that would mold them for a better life.

Blair or Serena = BOTH in a different kind of way.

Chuck or Nate = for me? NATE! for Blair? okay I moved on! Chuck you can have Blair, he became a better person when she let Blair love him.

Dan or Nate for Serena = DAN! DAN! DAN! DAN! and that would never ever change!
Jenny or Vanessa = Jenny :)
Georgina? Well G is so like OH! MY GAWD!!! hahaha i love her, i hate her then i love her again! :)

My most favorite person in GG? of course. Serena / Blake Lively. I love Blake in Sisterhood of Traveling Pants. :))

GLEE

Looking at the picture, who would think that they're the losers. THEY ARE TOTALLY FAB?

Well, this series made me discover a new favorite song.

SWEET CAROLINE and it makes me blush everytime i hear Puck's voice. OMG! haha!

MERCEDES and KURT they are so totally love. Actually every character made a space in my heart. Of course, Emma, Sue Sylvester and my dear Mr. Schue. How I wish there's a teacher like him that would sing "IM LEAVING ON A JET PLANE" that way.

True Colors, Keep Holding On and Imagine were already on my mp3. haha! love it!

Finn or Puck = PUCK *blush!
Mercedes + KURT = LOVE IT! Ang bias ko diba?
Tina, the Asian Girl well, you go girl. I love her too.
Quinn and Finn, they're fine but I want more fire. Let Rachel join the story! hahaha LOL
I adore Artie :)
Emma or Terri DUH??? though Emma freaks me out, still Emma. haha!

Sue Sylvester or Mr. Schue? BOTH!
Sue made me love her with this "The little red riding hood!" *tears if you can't understand me. then go watch now! :)

from mr. schue

"The best teachers don't give you the answers. They just point the way and let you make your own choices, your own mistakes. That way, you get all the glory"

:)

The Girls I Miss the most

Don't worry this is not my year ender blog. I just promised myself about writing this entry.

I have many ideas that is stucked in my mind everytime I think of making this post. Pero ngayon lang ako nagkachance.

Well, I've been okay, or let's say I had a GREAT year. I had many accomplishments, made new friends and still keeping in touch with the old ones.

And as I look back...

I always end up laughing because I remember the times I had with my best girl friends. We made many memories that we will always treasure forever.
I don't want to say that I want to go back on the past. That's why we're growing up because memories should be remembered and if we will always long for the past we will not grow up.

College life is making our lives hectic. Very Busy. and everytime someone would text like "i miss you bratz"
I smile. because the love is still there.

This blog is not an eye opener or something.

It is just a post that says, I'm still here. I'm just a text away. I'm still here to listen to every rants you have in life.

And I know each and everyone will still be there.

"Remember we are 14 girls with different personalities joined together by fate."
" I MISS YOU MGA OSO!"

Well, so much for that. Natatawa kasi ako sa ginawa ko

I tried to combine your profile pics together. and i look at them one by one. and i can still see you.
the "you" who is my friend since high school. Mas may make up lang kayo ngayon :))

Though bonding moments are becoming less, I'm still hoping that someday will still find time to reconnect.

Yun ibang words ng iba sa gm... mga tampururots lang yun, Syempre kayo ba naman makamiss sa mga taong di nagpapakita.. haha..

Pero there's no pressure here. Kaya nga tropa eh. kahit minsan hindi na naiintindihan, Pilit pa ring iniintindi. :)

So, bratz eto lang naman to eh,

I LOVE VERY MUCH MY GIRLS...

eto na yun pics. well sorry mas malaki yun pic ni jam... hahahah! kasi hindi ko na mabago yun setting hahahah! :)

New reads for a bookworm

Everytime I visit National Bookstore and Powerbooks, I always try to find books that is different from the books that I usually read. I'm more of a Drama, Romance, Adventure, Chick Lit kind of a reader. But, i'm really interested in Court Room Dramas, and suspense. I would also like to revive my love for Classics. So, maybe this coming year... I would really grab one of those and start reading it instead of just reading its back covers. No to cost cutting! haha!

This year i opened my heart to Paulo Coelho's The Valkyries, If you would ask my friend Airiz, you would know why... I read it for more than 4 months (*not sure!) because I usually end up forgetting the last chapter, untill i'll reread again. Okay?! so much for that.. When I've finished it, nasabi ko na lang na sana tinapos ko to ng mas maaga. Paulo believes in Angels. and I do too... I fell inlove with his wife Chris. In a different way it inspired me a lot about my faith. and it imposed to me that we should really forgive ourselves from the mistakes we have done in the past. Too much for my words, just read it :)

Dear John, The Last Song, The Wedding, A Bend in the Road, The Choice, The Notebook.
from my favorite Nicholas Sparks. Maybe I would try to do an individual post about this haha. BUT, DEAR JOHN is my favorite of all Sparks books. Before, it was A Walk to Remember but JOHN TYREE AND SAVANNAH CURTIS surpassed the love i had for Jamie and Landon :)

Oh! I forgot to include Philippine Publication Books... Hmm. Another post maybe :)

So now, I only got one day before 2010 arrive, and i'm praying that if ever my friends doesn't have any books on my list, I hope I will have a budget to buy them... :)

First on my list, is from the author that inspires me in all the novel that he wrote!
Have a Little Faith: The Story of a Last Request
It is about the different worlds of a Jewish and Christian,
African-Amarican and White, Poor and rich. Another book from Sparks that signifies life's purpose. About losing faith or belief and finding it again.
*oooh! drools :)

I've also read that 10% of the profits of the book will go to charity,
"The Hole In The Roof Foundation"
So Now Im really thinking if I will buy the book or just borrow from a friend :)

The Memory Keeper's Daughter
written by Kim Edward

Its my first encounter with the author, I got intrigued with its title when i foud it NBS bookshelves while waiting for my bestfriend.

It is about a doctor's decision that will always haunt him and his family's lives forever.

"In 1964, when a blizzard forces Dr. David Henry to deliver his own twins, he immediately recognizes that one of them has Down Syndrome and makes a split-second decision that will haunt all their lives forever. He asks his nurse to take the baby away to an institution and to keep her birth a secret. Instead, she disappears into another city to raise the child as her own."

I have a thing on stories about down syndrome, abnormalities, etc eversince I've watched "I am sam". So, I think this will be a good book to read in the start of a new year.

Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

"Emily Bront's only novel is set in the wild, bleak Yorkshire Moors. Depicting the relationship of Cathy and Heathcliff, Wuthering Heights creates a world of its own, conceived with an instinct for poetry and for the dark depths of human psychology."

I was interested when One of my teachers in high school mentioned in one of his lectures. I forgot what year ko nun. Basta may English Teacher ako na nagbanggit nito. :P

South of the Border, West of the Sun
by: Haruki Murakami

At first, I know that the author is a popular Japanese Novelist.
And that's all. Then I googled him, actually I even thought he's a her. haha! I don't know maybe because of the name. Sorry na tao lang!
Then I've seen his books in the front tables of Powerbooks. feeling ko na, na magaling siya. :) Until, i tried to read the back covers of his books and then i encountered this -------->

And I read the "South of the Border" refers to the song of Mr. Nat King Cole. but base on wikipedia.org there's no evidence that Cole has recorded the song. It is about the life of childhood friends Hajime and Shimamoto (an only child, has a polio).
They grow apart when they're in high school and were reunited when they're already had a life on their own.
"It has chain of events that eventually forces Hajime to choose between his wife and family or attempting to recapture the magic of the past."
(*sometimes! I really believe in the magic of the past)

Lolita by Vladimir

It is a love story with the power to raise both chuckles and eyebrows. Humbert Humbert is a European intellectual adrift in America, haunted by memories of a lost adolescent love. When he meets his ideal nymphet in the shape of 12-year-old Dolores Haze, he constructs an elaborate plot to seduce her, but first he must get rid of her mother. In spite of his diabolical wit, reality proves to be more slippery than Humbert's feverish fantasies, and Lolita refuses to conform to his image of the perfect lover.

Thanks to my ol friend Zee :). I've seen it in her post and I tried to google it and I was attracted to its description.

The Book of Tomorrow
written by: Cecelia Ahern

from the author of P.S. I love you

It is about Tamara Goodwin, the girl who gets everything she wanted but that changed when his dad was gone.
"When a travelling library passes through Kilsaney Demesne, Tamara is intrigued. She needs a distraction. Her eyes rest on a mysterious large leather bound tome locked with a gold clasp and padlock. With some help, Tamara finally manages to open the book. What she discovers within the pages takes her breath away and shakes her world to its core."

Well, i like things about magic. :)

STAR GIRL by Jerry Spinelli

I found this book when it was feautured in Meg Magazine.

It is an emotional tale about the perils of popularity and the thrill and inspiration of first love.

HAHA!
I wanted to read the book last 2008! but i focused on Nicholas Sparks books that's why I forgot this. :)

ALL AMERICAN GIRL SEQUEL: READY OR NOT

I was browsing pictures of book covers when I encountered this. then I thought I want to cry because I didn't know that MY FAVE CHICK LIT has a sequel. DAMN!! I'm a loser. huhuhu.
So, I want it now. Read it now. I NEED IT. OK?!
I was in love with Sam and David, whoever they are read the first book. And Meg Cabot is my favorite Chick Lit Author. WHERE the hell can i find this book? I haven't seen it in NBS and Powerbooks before. Or, im just stupid of not seeing it because i thought its just the fiirst book with a different cover???? Stupid me! Anyway, I will definitely read this! :)

Well, I have many books on the list. haha Actually its my first time to do a list. I did it to remind myself that I should read books MORE or MOST?! haha than surfing the net. I'm losing new ideas for my stories and maybe this books will be a big help.
Four titles below also made my list.. And many more :) Enjoy reading :)

Kittiful's 18 ender

My 18 years of existence here on earth is about to be added with another year. And as i reminisce it all, I know that this year is one of my BEST. Maybe its the worst for others but, i have to be honest its the best for me. well, minus the tragedies that happened to our beloved country (*of course!). I had a list or some reasons why this year is superb for me.

I've made many new friends this year, but im glad that i've also stayed with the old ones. I had my share of laughter, stress, sorrow, hurt, smile, cheers,&love with them.

They've been there whenever i need comfort.
Or even if i don't need them they stay even just to tease me.

The picture can't put all the faces of my friends, good friends. But, i know that they know who they are.

I also had a chance to have close personal interview with people in MEDIA. It still brings shivers to me whenever i remember talking to Mr. Mark Salazar while his colleagues Doris Brigoa and Love Aneover are there fooling around.
And i've had a share of the lesson that an aspiring media practitioner should remember
"Our job is 10% GLAMOUR and 90% HARDWORK"
Everytime i feel tired, lazy and that writer's block, i try to remember those words.

This year i was able to go to places that the four corners of a classroom could never have. And that is a close encounter with Mother Nature.

Quezon, our sudden heaven. Thanks to Sir Jimmy Oblena for bringing us there.
Whenever we remember those times it bring smiles to our faces.

Sinong nas*x ng malas? haha!
Ilang ilog tinawid natin?
Sinong takot sa buntot ng buwaya?
*woah! i miss those times!

Those experiences made our section be closer to each other.
I know that wherever life takes me, those memories will have a place in my heart!!! STEEEEEEAAADYYYYY!

And i also had the best summer of my life.

CEBU CEBU CEBU. i will come back to you.

I had the chance to practice my photography skills (if i have any?! haha)

and just enjoy the summer.

We had a long road trip but it was all worth it. That's what i love! traveling and i hope i can do that in the near future! :)

NExt stop? could it be MACAU?! i hope so!

HAHA! i am really thinking of not including these picture but its my blog anyway. They are some of the models who smiled, posed, and give emotions to me. Some are just for fun and some are for a project.. etc

But, i just want to thank them. For smiling for me. Because it keeps me going. i know that i have to learn more about photography and thank you for dealing with me. THANK YOU VERY MUCH GUYS. and I also want to thank God for our wonderful nature that's why i included TRAVEL PHOTOGRAPHER as one of my dream jobs! :)

BECAUSE i Have my girlfriends and yeah! also guy friends (kaso im too lazy to fin pics na!)
Why wouldn't be my 18 years of existence happy?

And yeah while i am 18, exactly this year
GOD answered my wishes,

kahit hirap na hirap na kami nairaos pa din ni mama, papa at tita ang mga bagay na to.. So, BRO! thank you so much!

AND I'M HAPPY THAT MY FAMILY IS STILL IN TACT, though father dearest is thousand miles away, i know that SOMEDAY on CHRISTMAS DAY or *SECRET SPILLED on my birthday we will be complete.
Since i was 4 years old I haven't celebrated my birthday with my father because his vacation is always scheduled every summer. That's why i HOPE NEXT YEAR he could spend Christmas HERE. and that would be my happiest birthday the next day!
Oh! come on! I CAN DREAM an WISH! There's no impossible with GOD!

I LOVE YOU PAPA, MAMA, KUYA and TITA! I LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

And for this part, I know that tragedies have devastated our country... And i'm glad i was able to help, maybe not many but some of flood victims here in LAGUNA,
i keep in my heart that "in our own little way we can help" and we can also make them happy even if their hearts are broken :)

REGITERED VOTER
AND I BELONG TO INDIVIDUALS WHO WILL MAKE A CHANGE NEXT YEAR

And this blog will not be complete that im happy because im still doing what i've been doing since i was a kid. Writing my heart out. I write to inspire and sometimes to please myself.

so hours to go before another year is added to my age.. well. THANK YOU FOR A WONERFUL YEAR 18! you will always be remembered :)

---love kittiful *still from the land of what might have been :)
