My brother (Kuya Ryan) said that I'm a monster when I said I need the Season 4 already! Haha He is the one who introduced me to Big Bang Theory! :) and now, I can finish the series before he can (well because he has work)! hahaha...

Somewhere out there

I have watched this video of Kaitlyn Maher a thousand times but it never fails to touch my heart. This video was posted on 2008.. Kaitlyn is only four years old and the judges adored her so much. For sure, she's a big girl now. Whenever I watch this video, I can't help to reflect. Maybe, when Kaitlyn is a lot older and wiser this video will always inspire her because she had followed her dream. She'll look back at the time when she'll see the full support of her mom and dad.

I always get teary eyed of the innocence of Kaitln in this video, the part when she asked "Can you hear from out here?" aaaawww.. sweeet! And maybe its a lesson for us (older people), Somewhere out there is your dream. So, don't ever give up!

Who is sick?

Sorry I haven't posted anything for the past two days. I've been busy and last Friday, my friends and I went to a job fair that has super long lines, and we're standing under the sun. and when we entered the venue -- AIRCON! whatta headache!
Though, I still enjoyed the day because I'm with my favorite girls... Debbie, Airiz and Eliza... :)

When I arrived home, I was so tired and not feeling good. I ate a little for dinner, then went straight to bed... And that's when I had fever, i was really chilling. I just hope it won't be back now.

I don't want hospitals anymore. I got hospitalized last January because of Dengue....
Help me pray that this is just a simple flu or something... When I get well, I promise to post more!!!!

I have read...

Not currently reading because I finished reading these two books this week. :) I wonder if i still have a 20/20 vision.. I read an ebook.

Congratulate me! i have read two ebooks in a week! hahaha

The Ghost and the Goth by Stacey Kade. I didn't like the book that much but I like the idea of having a middleground when you die.. and you're ghost still here on earth because it has unfinished business. I read that it has a second book so I might try reading the sequel, maybe its more exciting...

I know! I know! i already included this book in my currently reading list but I only got to read it yesterday. Even if '.I not used in reading ebooks I enjoyed the book. Though I cannot relate with Charlie's life, i felt a connection because teensgae life really has its confusing stage. I'm glad i'm over it. Everything is just a happy memory.. Still, I'm a teen at heart! hahaha

So how about you what have you read this week.

And yeah! I'm still reading HM's Hard - boiled Wonderland and the end of the world and Memory Keeper's daughter! :)

Just watched the teen choice awards 2011... hello?! i'm still twen-teen, still a teen at heart. :)

And I love that Gossip Girl (Blake and Chace), The Vampire Diaries Cast, and of course Demi Lovato! I'm so proud of her! Of course, she's an inspiration (Ok? How many times do I have to say this...?)

Almost cried when she said her thank yous! 'Coz yeah Love is louder... :)

And I think I have that "Murakami Fever" again :D whenever i read Murakami books, I can't concentrate on new book for weeks. After I read Norwegian Wood, I didn't hold any other books for 3 weeks. haha! In South of the Border..... I didn't read for days until i finally decided to read Sputnik Sweetheart which I love so much.... And after Sputnik. I'm stuck here rereading the first Chapter of Middlesex until I decided to read other books instead. Still, its not working. anyway! I'll try a Murakami book again this time and Memory keeper's...

The Past Life

Who am I on my past life? One of the questions I ask myself these past few days. Who am I before? Haha. I believe in reincarnation. :) And whenever I experience dejavu, I always think maybe because I have dreamt of that certain situation or (I assumed that) it happened in my past life. Sorry i have such a weird mind! haha So now, I have three hypotheses of my past lives as a human being.

PAST LIFE #1
Maybe I was nicknamed by my parents with a boyish name. Remember when i blogged about how I have certain love for boyish names for girls? Haha. So maybe, I was named Samantha and I always use Sam. or I was named Louise wherein my teachers are confused if I'm the Louise boy or the Louise girl. :D
And because I have that boyish name, i started my early life being independent. Maybe, since I was a young adult i started living away from my family. Possibly, I'm a travel writer (okay?dream on girl!) i assumed this because whenever I go out of the house, I have the to bring along with me a small notebook and a pen. I won't leave the house without it. And maybe on my past life, i'll meet him on a truck full of people (okay?! I dreamt about this before!) who are on their way to a suburban place. But, because I'm a travel writer the relationship won't be forever (I'm so weird)... The past me have settled down in a place far away from the city and started my own travel book.

PAST LIFE #2

In my life today, I loooooooove hot air balloons, though I haven't seen a real/ride hot air balloon (only on televisons and pictures), I always feel a connection with it. Yeah, weird. And I don't have any fear of heights, i always want to look down whenever I'm up (ex. riding a ferris wheel etc.) So maybe I own one! LOL, how i wish! Maybe I was Abby Richter (Katherine Heigl) on The Ugly Truth. In the movie, Abby is a tv producer.. such a powerful job but she's also naive and a super duper control freak. I don't know how i came up with this past life number two but I remember Abby is a control freak. Today, i also worry about imperfect outcomes of certain things, I may not be very particular about it (but deep inside it really breaks me if things won't go my way). So maybe I still have that "possible" link with my past life. :))

PAST LIFE #3 (this one is very different or I just wished this was my life (past/present/future)

After reading Nick and Norah's Playlist and forever wishing to have Blair/Serena's life....
Maybe my past father owns a recording company and i can go to any concerts, gigs and events without lining up. HAHA! I LOOOVE MUSIC!!! who doesn't.... Maybe like Serena, I also have a Dan Humphrey in my life, someone who wrote a story for me. :)) Or maybe i had a Nick who always gives me mixed tapes. Okay i'm dreaming. again. Or maybe in my past life I play the drums... hahaha I always want to try playing the drums :/

Thus, the original concept for this video was born and it stuck in my head-- and I pray that this video helps you realize that you are not alone in your struggle, whether it is you or a loved one going through it.

Cinemalaya 2011

Cinemalaya 2011 (for me) is the most popular out of my three years in watching Cinemalaya films. This year, they used most of the visible celebrities in the country for most of the entries. I didn't have any problems with that but I just miss the time when people watch the films because they're curious of the plot or the new indie actor/actress. According to Direk Erick Salud during Ligo na U, Lapit na me's gala night, "pinaglaban nila ang dalawang pangunahing artista sa film na yun." then I asked Debbie (my friend), "Ipaglalaban? why? Hello, Mercedes Cabral is the bomb! Why do they have to fight for her for that role, for me indie film also equals to Mercedes Cabral. Then i concluded that maybe because most of the films used (mostly) mainstream celebs. Nevertheless, the film's still good and also super funny! I can't imagine any actress who can play the role of Jenny."

Part of the scene of Ligo na U lapit na me (if you have read the book, you'll be smiling all through out the movie because they didn't made any major changes for the film... The films even funnier than the book.)

I noticed that most of the viewers watched the certain film because "ui andyan si *insert name of famous celeb*, "PAPICTURE tayo kay *insert name of celebrities who went there to watch the movie*. Anyway, I'm also happy for Cinemalaya because people is now recognizing INDEPENDENT FILM MAKING not the usual mainstream film with plots of boy meets girl vice versa. Finally, people are growing up. :)

Its sad that before we are a complete group when watching Cinemalaya films... Anyway, Cinemalaya will be there every year, for sure we'll find time so that we'll be complete. :)

Some of the films i was not able to watch.. Hmmm. i hope there would be some independent screenings and I think Rakenrol will be shown nationwide on September. yey! :)

Its such a cruel world out there but whenever I close my eyes at night I know you’re just up there looking out for me. I may lose hope many times, I know you’re there to light my way again. I tend to hate the world I’m living in but whenever I see the special people in my life, its as if you’re the one telling me that I’ll be okay. Everything’s going to be fine. I can achieve my dreams. I can live my dream with your help. Thank you for allowing me to be imperfect, to make mistakes so that I can learn. Just don’t give up on me my dear God. August Rush

If you'll ask me if I based my title on the 2007 film --Yes. I love that film. All about music, family and love. Its the first day of August. New month. New challenges. Let's welcome the August Rush.

I don't know what's with August but I'm excited and kinda nervous. I'm really not expecting anything to happen this month! I just hope... I'd rather hope than expect so that I could feel that August magic. Looking back at my posts, I only posted few entries last July, well, because I'm more into writing in my journal... And yes, July month for me became (very light) depression month. Haha. I don't want to go to any details, let's all leave everything in my journal. Let me face August with the positive me -- the one I should be from the start... Happy August everyone!
