Teaser Tuesday

So, I haven't finished reading any book since I started Kafka on the Shore... Got so busy, I haven't read for a week. To be able to attend to my books, I brought a book to work so I can read on a long bus ride and during break time. I still need to achieve that reading challenge.

For my Teaser Tuesday...

After watching  Season 5's 16th episode of Gossip Girl, I realized that I am only holding on to the show because of Serena and Blair's friendship (of course the outfits! *wink*) I am a die hard Derena shipper, I love Chair (duh?!) but I have to admit that Dair has connection... still I find it too cliche. (I'm really sorry)

I've watched every GG episode since the pilot and this Season 5, I'm kinda getting tired of the story line. I repeat, after today I don't ship any pairs anymore unless, the writers could give them a better plot.

Why do I still believe in Blair/Serena? Because the only thing consistent in Gossip Girl is their friendship. They can hate each other but they will always be bestfriends, sisters & family. What they have is far from perfect but they always find their way back to each others arms.

So GG writers, please don't ruin Blair and Serena's friendship. It will be great if there would be a Blair and Serena vs. Georgina and Ivy battle! haha. with a little bit of fiercer real-Charlotte Rhodes on the side. Hmmm?!
Derena, i don't think you'll not gonna happen anymore (but there's still 5% hope)... So God, please make BLAKE and PENN happen again, I can wait! :))

Awkward?

Can this happen again?

Blake and Penn, please?! LOL

#5 Inspire: Believe

Hear I am again with photos I found over the net. I hope this could inspire everyone! I'm sorry I can't post regularly because I am a busy bee now. Yes, guys! I'm not a bum anymore. My prayer was answered and I am so happy!

So, here's some photos to let you start believing in life again! :)

It's okay to fall but you should know to stand up again.

Your life is meant to be lived by you not by anyone else.

:)

There is a good in everyday!

I will try to catch up on my posts this weekend! See ya! :)

Let's do this!

Teaser Tuesday

I got this idea from shouldbereading.

"I’ve loved you since we had that first long walk together, and I’ve never stopped loving you. I don’t plan to ever stop loving you if you’ll let me."

Giving love to Sarah Dessen :)

I really don't know how I'd start this entry but I really want to talk about Ms. Dessen's books. I think I've read her books during my down times. haha!

I think that Dessen's books are made for the ladies but it doesn't hurt if guys will read it too. I find her books as quick read and has good vibes.

Photo: from google images

The Truth About Forever
The first book I've read from Dessen. I fell in love with it instantly. I love Macy Queen because she's the girl who is perceived by the society as always the good girl. She always considers the suggestions of her mom. She spends her free time studying and she kinda feels insecure because her "so called" boyfriend is very smart. One thing that pinches my heart whenever I read Macy's character is she has many pains inside her. She is grieving silently over her father's unexpected death. She also stopped doing the thing she loves doing because of that certain incident. She became herself again when she met a new group of people. This is the perfect read for people who are finding "what will be their forever".
and I love Wes! super!

Just Listen
Any book that has music  in it, I love it. Two different people joined together by music.
" I want to read it all over again. Especially the part with the sisters. The book also tackles one of the most common problems of girls today, eating disorder. Something that I came to know the effects more as I was reading the book.

The part when Whitney read the poem in the cafe infront of many people and her sisters? I literally stopped reading and grabbed some Kleenex. Haha! Oh my gooosh! And Owen's love for music! MUSIC! MUSIC! MUSIC! :) I enjoyed reading it 'til dawn. :)"

This Lullaby
Not really my favorite but the friendship in this story really has a place in my heart. It taught me  that we shoul believe in our hearts again despite the heartaches.

“I am coming to terms with the fact that loving someone requires a leap of faith, and that a soft landing is never guaranteed.” ― Sarah DessenThis Lullaby

Someone Like You
Halley and Scarlett's friendship -- the one I cannot forget in this book. :)

Keeping the Moon
Colie didn't expect that she will have the best summer ever. and I think I also have a thing for "artist" characters -- Norman! I love his character, very "looks like stubborn" but cares so much.
Inspiring. :)

"Everything, and everyone, had its purpose. The rest of the  world, too often, might have missed that."

Lock and Key
It is learning to trust again and FAMILY is FAMILY. Period. Not too heavy read. :)

"What is family? They were the people who claimed you. In good, in bad, in parts or in whole, they were the ones who showed up, who stayed in there, regardless. It wasn't just about blood relations or shared chromosomes, but something wider, bigger. We had many families over time. Our family of origin, the family we created, and the groups you moved through while all of this was happening: friends, lovers, sometimes even strangers. None of them perfect, and we couldn't expect them to be. You can't make any one person your world. The trick was to take what each could give you and build your world from it."

"It's a lot easier to be lost than found. It's the reason we're always searching and rarely discovered--so many locks not enough keys."

Along for the ride
OMG... I think, I forgot this.. Hmmm. *google*
Ok yeah, The one with the bike... Auden and Eli!! .. okay let's get the words from goodreads, "the hearts of two lonely learning to connect."

"Life is full of screwups. You're supposed to fail sometimes. It's a required part of the human existance." 'nuff said.

That Summer
Not one of my favorites too. Letting go of the past is your way to be open to your future. :)

What happened to Goodbye
The latest book of Sarah Dessen but I didn't really enjoyed it. Though, I love Mclean's character. :)

Dreamland
Of all the books that i read, this one affected me the most. I want to take Caitlyn out of the story and hug her and let her feel that she can tell me what she really feels inside. The book made me realize that *those things really happen.* Ugh! I am really emotional while reading this. (I know you can't understand me but I'm trying very hard not to spoil... haha)

Have you read any of these books? Hope you'd share your thoughts too.

"You Are Beautiful, No Matter What They Say"

"No matter what we do,

No matter what we say,
We're the song inside the tune, full of beautiful mistakes
And everywhere we go, ( And everywhere we go)
the sun will always shine
( The sun will Always, Always, Shine)
And tomorrow we might awake on the other side

'Cause we are beautiful no matter what they say
Yes words won't bring us down, no
We are beautiful in every single way
Yes words can't bring us down, oh , no
So don't you bring me down today "

The lyrics of the song says it all.
My friend Taylor Lynn of Perfectly Sensible Nonsense has a project that benefits girls. This is to promote appreciation of one's self. Taylor asked submissions of photos from girls, ladies, women without make up! .. True beauty is much appreciated when we are make up less.

So I hope you'd watch this video. Everyone's beautiful even without make up...

To Taylor, you did an awesome job!

Please spread the video, my dear friends! :)

If you can't watch it here, you can click the link that redirect you to youtube.

Thank You. :)

#3 Inspire: Just spread positivity

Here's my positive words for everybody (photos are not mine *all found in the internet*)

"Don’t let a bad day make you feel like you’ll have a bad life." Okay?

Trust me. This is true :)

For you to be able to move on, you should learn to forgive. Sometimes, it is easier to forgive others but we find it hard to forgive ourselves. *ehem, so me..* For a person to be able to move forward, one should love thy self and to do that, FORGIVE... yourself.

Happiness. Patience. Forgiveness. :)

Boy meets Boy by David Levithan

This is the story of Paul, a sophomore at a high school like no other: The cheerleaders ride Harleys, the homecoming queen used to be a guy named Daryl (she now prefers Infinite Darlene and is also the star quarterback), and the gay-straight alliance was formed to help the straight kids learn how to dance.

When Paul meets Noah, he thinks he’s found the one his heart is made for. Until he blows it. The school bookie says the odds are 12-to-1 against him getting Noah back, but Paul’s not giving up without playing his love really loud. His best friend Joni might be drifting away, his other best friend Tony might be dealing with ultra-religious parents, and his ex-boyfriend Kyle might not be going away anytime soon, but sometimes everything needs to fall apart before it can really fit together right.

This is a happy-meaningful romantic comedy about finding love, losing love, and doing what it takes to get love back in a crazy-wonderful world. -goodreads

*Yes guys, spoilers alert*

I am very overwhelmed because of this book. I loved David Levithan since Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist & Naomi and Ely's No Kiss List but I love him even more because of this.

I realized that Paul's town is a happy land for the LGBT Community. Paul is loved by his family. They know that he is gay but they accepted him eversince. They never tried to put him down. They embraced him wholly. Also, in his school they are free. Everyone can be their selves though there are still kids who are confused with who they really are (sounds like real life right?)

I cannot help but wish that some day when I wake up I am already living in a world where Paul lives. I wish this for all my awesome friends and loved ones. "They don't need to be perfect but they can be their selves." :)

Paul is a strong and happy person. He loves organizing things (reminds me a lot of many of my gay friends.) When they organize something, it is always fabulous and fun. They are very talented like Paul.
Paul is a very good friend to everybody, he listens whenever someone needs to let all their feelings out.

Infinite Darlene. I love her openness to everything. I think she is really the representation for EQUALITY. Darlene is very gay but s/he is also the quarterback. How awesome is that? As in, I can imagine this book turned into a movie. So cute!

Kyle. more people are like him. Confused about who  he is or who will he be in front of the society...

Joni. I love her even if she's kinda stubborn. she's the girl bestfriend of Paul.

Amber. She is really a strong willed girl, love her too.

We have a crazy world but I want to believe that it is a wonderful place too. If we can just learn to respect and accept everybody like the characters in Boy meets Boy. I recommend it to everyone. :)

"The world loves stupid labels. I wish we got to choose our own."   (David Levithan)

Before I post this entry, I'm so happy to find this! Go Anne!

Teaser Tuesday

Look what I've found while blog hopping!!!!
I found this meme here

So, I know that it's Wednesday already but I can't wait for another Tuesday to try this. Please forgive me because I'm going to do this now! haha! I promise, on thest next Teaser Tuesday I will post it on real Tuesday... haha!

SO...

"I go back to my room for my backpack, then hit the street. I could just leave my stuff in the room, or in the hotel safe, but I feel like carrying it all with me. It's as if it's a part of me already, and I can't let go." p. 69
-Kafka on the Shore, Haruki Murakami :)

Mercedes! ♥

Amber Riley, I am a fan.. Always! :)

I just saw this video on my friend's profile. I went out so I was not able to watch Glee's new episode. I remember on the past episodes, Mercedes and Sam have "something". Actually, I like them together. Haha! And this song is really heartfelt! :) I've read on the comments of this video that they've shot this scene  before Whitney Houston passed away. Coincidence. STILL, IT IS AN AWESOME performance. :) I know that Whitney Houston is very proud of Amber!

I always believe in Amber's voice. Aside, from Rachel (Lea Michele) I am really rooting for Amber (Mercedes) and Chris Colfer's (Kurt) voice. Rachel's voice is really for Broadway while Amber is for songs like this.

Ooooh. Mercedes, because of this performance I think I want to watch Glee more... Hmm? Mercedes and Sam. I love them together. *blush* :)

Real Men Surprise Their Dates

Very sweet video. I want to hug the guys here for giving their wives, girlfriends & fiances so much love. That was really surprising, especially the husbands who are in corporate attire singing a boyband song. Woooow! When you love somebody you are willing to do everything for her -- maybe that is true. Totally true because of this video. haha

Mixed Vid tape

This mixed vid tape is a Chritmas gift of my friend Debbie to all of us.
She gave it to us while we were eating at Dad's Glorietta (during our post Christmas get together.)

I always say that I love mixed tapes and I wish someday someone would give me one (gooosh! I'm so cheesy and old school! haha.) So this mixed vid tape is very special. Debbie explained that all of us have almost the same content of the vid except that in the cd that has your name, you are the star of the video. I'm not saying the shining star but the laughingstock star. HAHA!

I have many candid photos and VIDEOS(OMAYGAASH!) that is why Debbie told us that we can blog about this but we should "POST AT OUR OWN RISK!" I'm still thinking if I want to post the vid because I am ashamed of myself... hahaha! The photos and vids are very funny but at the same time... HEARTFELT.

We just graduated last year but I miss everybody already. It is really different because when we were still in College, we see each other everyday. Have lunch together, dinner, snacks, wait for each other before class starts, "be late in class together", attend org/club meetings, watch movies together even the "cheesy" ones, overnights, go home late, just pig out whenever we have extra money.." So I'm not really used on the set up of not being with them everyday. Still, I have to remember some good things never last. We all need to grow up and be better people. One thing I know is as we go and achieve our dreams, we will never forget each other and we will always support each other. :)

The songs debbie used in the video is really ♥. Actually the video has a collection of many photos with our many friends, mostly our Journ group, Sentinel Family (school paper), MassComm friends, other classmates etc.. That is why, I was teary eyed while watching the vid. Here are some stills in the vid. :)

me smiling for the cam during our meeting. haha

:)

and as the song goes:

Minsan ay hindi ko na alam ang nangyayari
Kahit na anong gawin
Lahat ng bagay ay merong hangganan
Dahil ngayon tayo ay nilimot ng kahapon
Di na mapipilitang buhayin ang ating pinagsamahan
Ngunit kung sakaling mapadaan baka
Ikaw ay aking tawagan
Dahil minsan tayo ay naging
Tunay na magkaibigan

Translation:

Everything has its own ending and we need to go on separate ways but some day I will remember and I might call you because once in our life we became true friends. :)

Wishing it was Prom again.

One of the highlights of my high school life is attending Prom. In our school we don't need to have dates to attend prom. It's up to you if you want to attend or not and at that time you'd go to Prom with your classmates. What I mean is when you enter the venue you'd be paired with your classmate (your choice and you're really lucky if you're in the same section with your boyfriend/girlfriend) and sit beside each other during the program. After dinner and after the (formal) program you could change seats and go sit with your friends in the other section, just roam around and say hi to everyone (if you are very friendly), dance with your own partners, fool around with friends on the dance floor. It is up to you on how you'll make that moment memorable.

It is the time of the year when girls are so busy thinking about their dresses or gowns and I am here going down memory lane. Wow, I miss those awesome times! haha. I remember on our Senior Year my friends and I went to the same tailoring shop together. haha! looorve et!

My girl friends! haha on our Junior Year

My friends!! They were my classmates in Sophomore Year.

with my Buddy Anna

During Junior Year (JS) Prom, I was wearing a fuchsia pink dress with beautiful beading. It was tailor made in Saudi! At that time, my Mama is still a working in Saudi so she has many tailor friends and made the gown for me. :)

Next is the Prom when we were already Seniors! More fun because it is not our first time anymore. Haha. Everything was all about fun! haha

colorful gowns and dresses! haha.

told yah! more more fooling around.

with THE bestfriend.

Bestfriends!

Have you noticed something in my photos? I had a bad hair style. The hair stylist decided to curl my hair but we did not know that my hair has low tolerance in any kind of curling. haha! We haven't even arrived in the venue but my hair is almost straightening up! My friends tried to save it and used curling iron to curl it again. Before the program even started, all I got is a messy hair. Eww. But I did not even notice because I did not go there to have an awesome hair... I attended the Prom to have fuuuuun! haha.
I'm wearing my favorite color at that time, BLUE! Yey!

Here I am wishing it was Prom again, you know why? Because of the beautiful gowns and dresses. I remember one of my many dreams is to be a fashion stylist (haha!) so I gathered photos that I will recommend to wear on their own prom. These are just random beautiful photos that I found in the internet (and some are gowns I wish i could wear too.) Haha. I also have photos that I created in looklet. Just imagine, I am your big sister trying to help you decide what you'll wear on the big day! :)

I remember during our time, our Prom has themes but we don't follow the themes. haha! We choose what we want to wear but it should not be very daring or something..

I'm not good on remembering designers so I'll just give opinions on the dresses/gowns. haha!

When I saw this for the first time, I fell in love with it. The style is very "girl." Perfect when you're a Junior. Simple but stylish. The shoes goes with the dress too. And Ariel is really pretty. haha

So stunning! can I have Prince William as my date too? haha

I really like the cut of the gown. If you's wear this to your prom, maybe you could wear another color.
Black is beautiful but you can try more pastel colors too.

If you just one to be far from the usual, this is perfect! Just make your make up Prom approprite
 haha.

Work it girl! Katy Perry. Oh! I mean the dress, love the color! :)

love et! I love Demi's hair here! :)

Go with shiny, shimmering, splendid! :)
My looorve Bianca Gonzalez!

very elegant!

ooh! sweet and spicy! haha.

These two white outfits are really looove.
love Elle Fanning's outfit the most. Very young lady!

I don't know if this dress is Prom appropriate but you have different themes right?
Well, I don't care when I watched this episode and saw Blake Lively (Serena) wearing this dress.. I died! haha I love it to death! :)
