Soul's twin

In a bus ride on our way home, I was able to talk to my friend about "soul mates". My friend believes that she could meet that "special person" someday. We discussed things related to it. Its a good topic to talk about because I just finished reading Brida.

When I was young, I have watched the movie "Only You". It is a 1994 film directed by Norman Jewison. Robert Downey Jr. (*oh my Gosh! i didn't even know him before) and Marissa Tomei.
The film is about a girl named Faith who believed that she could meet her soulmate named Damon Bradley. Damon Bradley's name is just a name that Faith's brother used just to prank her when they're playing the Ouija Board. Until she consulted the fortune teller. etc etc
She tried to find him, but she found someone else. Her soulmate but not Damon Bradley.

I then believed on soulmates. Until, I forgot everything about it. :) Then I have read Brida, I'm back learning the possibilities of having a soul's twin.

I don't have an exact idea on the real definition of a Soulmate. I googled it and i'm right :) Its the twin of your soul. It's a feeling of compatibility.

I believe in reincarnation and rely on the theory that a soul will be placed in another body so it could live again on earth. But, that soul will divide into two. That's why we have soulmates.

I have a mixed feelings about the issue of finding your soulmate. There are times that I'm not interested. But, reading the book Brida made me think that it wouldn't hurt if I would meet my soul's twin (*if there's any?! (:).

Will i also have a hard time leaving that someone when I found him/her?
we'll never know...

One thing I know for sure is, a Soulmate is not automatically your true love. Sometimes that two are different. Some people are just lucky enough to find them in just one person.

As i believed we don't have to find them, its like LOVE. He/She will come in the right time.

And if you find that person, reflect about things.

"Nothing will behave in the logical way you have come to expect." -Brida

If you can't find love with that person, move on. *Minsan sa buhay hindi natin maipipilit ang mga bagay na inukit lang natin sa akala.

Self-centered

I'm trying not too distract myself about a certain issue but I can't.
Its too tempting to blog.

I really hate self - absorbed people. They feel that they are the only ones who deserve to be recognized. And they think that they're popular online that's why when some people have almost the same works like them they feel like they're violated.

I know. I understand that there are many *posers roaming around but some people are just too self absorbed. Sobra.

Hello Honey? Its Internet. You could encounter different people from different worlds that have almost the same ideas like yours. Grow Up. :)

Those people are getting on my nerves. And I hate it. Haha.

Well, this is not a hate blog... But, kinda? haha Or I just want to let my feelings out. hahaha

That's why i love tumblr. I could follow and unfollow people :)) hahahaha

To friends, you don't have to ask me who kasi, di niyo kilala... just some random people on the net :)

Okay, back to school work. :P

Back to my real world :p

Bless the Broken Road

Almost 3 weeks without blogging. How sad is that?
I don't even have time to write on my journal everyday. Screw you internet! But, I blame myself more and also school works.*winks Then I looked at my planner, and i've seen that I'm not a loser. I still made my life productive this year.

Well, too much for that. Why Bless the Broken Road?

The reason is its the song that is on repeat mode on my wmp. God Blessed the Broken Road by Rascal Flatts. Song that was released 3 or 4 years ago. :)

It's a love song. And as I listen to the song for the past weeks, I learned that it could be a wedding song. Haha.

Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road

Despite the fact that this song should be dedicated for lovers, I still managed to connect it with my life. This is the first time that I'll open this topic in a blog post. So, (*deep breath!)

Maybe God Blessed the Broken road when i'm on my way to LPU (Lyceum of the Philippines University.)

A scenario of my life three years ago....

People who are close to me knows what I'm talking about. Everyone has their own dream school. Mine was UST (University of Sto. Tomas) and yeah, I failed because I was so stupid back then... HAHA. I was afraid to admit to everyone that I don't like the Nursing Course (no offense, its just me.) I think I want to prove to everyone that I can be like my mom. A successful Nurse -- or maybe I just thought that they want me to be like my mom.

I failed the entrance exam in UST. :) waiting list on the second course. but I don't care. That time I just wanted to see the word "PASSED". but I didn't. And I cried. I cried until I can't even talk.
Then I moved on.

While on a Bus going to Manila with my Mom, I talked to her :

Kit: Ma, magagalit ka ba kung hindi ako mag nunursing?
Ma, will you get mad if I won't take Nursing?

Ma: Ha? Hindi. Bakit naman ako magagalit eh hindi naman ako yun mag aaral? Ano ba gusto mo?
What?! No! Why would I get mad? I'm not the one who's going to study. What  do you
        want to do?

Kit: Magsulat.
      to write.

Ma: Masscom? Journalism? Sige hahanap tayo ng school na may journalism. Pero dun lang sa kaya natin..... *etc etc. Di rin natin ma aafford sa UST eh.
MassCommunications? Journalism? Ok, we'll find a good school that offers Journalism but it should be a University that we can afford. We cannot afford to send you to UST (because it's quite expensive.)

Kit: (*parang nabunutan ng tinik*) Ok po.
       (super happy!!!) Okay Ma.

When I remember that conversation, I always smile. I thank God for giving me understanding parents. Papa and Tita also agreed that time. Paulit ulit nilang sinabi na, Ikaw ang mag aaral kaya ikaw ang magdedesisyon kung anong kukunin mo. (They always tell me that I am the one who is going to study, I should be the one who'll decide on what I want to take.)

And then my mom learned that there's a Journalism course in LPU.
I got three choices PWU (Philippine Women's University), St. Scholastica College and LPU.

Until, i'm torn between St. Scho and LPU

Then I decided to study at LPU because I feel relaxed when I stepped in the Campus. I don't know why. And yeah, its cheaper than St. Scho :)

In LPU.
I have to admit, I've gone out of my comfort zone. I learned to accept many things. I've become mature when it comes to change. And I've created a family out of those strangers who also came from a special life in their high school.

In LPU, those strangers became friends, those friends became family.

And there I said that God Blessed the Broken Road on my way to them.

I always thank God for them. They have been my strength everytime I lost track of my Journalism *future career.* There are times that writer's block attacks you in days were you really need to make an article. They've been there to irritate and at the same time, make me smile. This road that I traveled also made me embrace things that I do not really like. It made me appreciate issues/things that I don't even recognize before.

I thank God for this journey, you made me hang on more. There are many times that I fail, He knows that but I hang on because this is what I really want to do.

Maybe, UST is not for me. And God lead me to where I am now because He wants me to meet this wonderful people. And He wants me to dream and make it happen.

And on repeat. God Blessed the Broken Road that lead me straight to you, Guys. :)
