Sarah Kay & Phil Kaye "When Love Arrives"

I haven't watched spoken poetry for months now and then I stumbled on this video in a blog I was reading.

And just like that I searched Sarah Kay videos ... until I realized that I have watched her videos before but how come, I just found this now?

Anyway, this is awesome! :)

"....But love is not perfect and will sometimes forget. When you need to hear it most, “You are beautiful.” Do not forget this.

Love is not what you are expecting. Love is not what you can predict. Maybe love is in New York City already asleep. You are in California, Australia, wide awake. Maybe love is always in the wrong timezone.

Maybe love is not ready for you. Maybe you are not ready for love. Maybe love just isn’t the marrying type. ..."

"Maybe love is only there for a month. Maybe love is there for every firework. Every birthday party. Every hospital visit. Maybe love stays. Maybe love can’t. Maybe love shouldn’t.

Love arrives exactly when love is supposed to and love leaves exactly when love must.

When love arrives, say, “Welcome. Make yourself comfortable.” If love leaves, ask her to leave the door open behind her. Turn off the music. Listen to the quiet. Whisper, “Thank you for stopping by.”"

Feeble Blaze

Surrounded by giddy flames,
fireflies stopped their games
I shouted for love and delight
yet anger and hatred arrived

Gust of wind was welcomed
as they witnessed earth's beauty
and embraced water's purity
while i remained feared and detached

Never did i wish to scare,
I sacrificed to much
than to see you warm than chilled,
give light you when you are thrilled

For you to be safe
I'd stay lonely and abhorred
so they can drink love
as i swallow every wrath

An angel’s repair

An angel’s repair

There’s a place
Where no one wants to stay
It is always happy and sure
But then it begins to be unsecured

Everything’s misplaced and broken
Like shattered glasses left by a storm
Nobody bothered to put it all back together
Just then an angel came along

An angel with broken wings
lost and broken for so long
helped to repair
A place full of despair

Months passed by
You can finally see a blue sky
The sun’s shining
As the wounds are also healing

You could see the scars
full of band aids and stitches
both became stronger and better
With the help of each other

Another poem :)

A little bit of everything ♥

A little bit of everything

She laughs at some jokes
rolls her eyes to useless thoughts
someone who loves to eat
but doesn’t know how to cook

she may be friendly
but anytime can unfriend you
she is what she is
you cannot do anything about it

she has that pretty face
that no one can resist
but her heart is so tender
so if you’d just break it, don’t bother

when she gives her heart
she gives it all
she’s a believer
that true love exists

but in a snap of 1, 2, 3
all those beliefs became free
her heart broke into pieces
and she tried to erase the nice kisses

from afar you’d see
shy and has no clue
I tell you,
She knows how to be true

Unsealed letter in 11:11 11-11-11

I've been thinking of what to post this day. I really don't know what happened to me when I suddenly wished on 11:11 pm, a few days ago. My friend and I were exchanging text messages because I had a very bad day. When the clock strikes 11:11 pm, my friend told me to wish and without even thinking I wished. Maybe, when you are really down and trying to be alright again, you start to believe again.

Actually, I really don't believe in wishing in 11-11, I don't even bother to know its history. It just became familiar because some of my friends believe it. They would even send a group message when its 11-11 pm.

Everyone's so busy planning something special to do on this day. Me? I just think of a special blog to post.

Until, I remember the poem that I made for our Literary Folio (it was released last February), Imaginaccion XIII 2011: Existensia. In this Literary Folio, my friend Airiz is the EIC and Debbie is the Creative Consultant. I am so proud of this book because we gave all our best here especially, the two names I mentioned. :)

I submitted two poems (only one poem got accepted :) ) and some photos that has relevance with the theme. The theme is Existensia: Seven Deadly Sins and Seven Heavenly Virtues.

So here's my page :)

Unsealed Letter

How far is 1486 miles away?
They asked me but I cannot say
I held the unsent letters
All sealed with a kiss except the last chapter

We hoped forever
But, how come I still believed in such whatever!
Tik tok Tik tok
Ticks the clock

I recalled,
With your sweet lovely smile
You promised to run
when the 406th letter’s done

Now, I’m staring on this little piece
Where I’ve put my whole heart
Hoped that it won’t be torn apart
As I give my special kiss

Bells started ringing
My heart keeps on thumping
I tried to look for you
But they don’t want me to

Then played our song,
God knows I’ve waited too long
You’re the one who made me better
so with this unsealed letter

I say, 1486 miles is so far away
still you came back and stay,
I almost cursed forever

and now we will start over

I hope you like it.

Derena Fan Forever

Jenny: Come on, Dan, Serena said hi to you at a ninth grade birthday party and you've never forgotten it.
Dan: How could I? She was the only person who spoke to me.

I think this part in season 1 is one of my inspiration when I made this derena poem. I submitted this for a literary book but it didn't make the cut. I still treasure it because it always reminds me of Dan and Serena.

Lifesaver
You were just a fantasy
who swooned me to perfect ecstasy
I am a nobody
And you are never a needy

Alone in a crowded room
You came and made my life bloom
Everyone seems so racy
But you stepped down and made me happy

For once, in my whole existence
Somebody honored my presence
When I thought nobody’s worth it
An angel fell that made me not to quit

Criss - cross by Airiz :)

Her fingertips tap against the keys

like a steady rhythm of a weeping heart.

We wait for time to slip;

I watch and reminisce and think --

is there something to offer us

when we exit our little 'paradise?'

We share puzzle pieces behind closed doors;

we traded bittersweet nothings

of the escapist planes of our hearts.

Time seems nonexistent

when we explore each other's thoughts.

Her happiness is her choice,

My destiny is weaved by my bare hands.

Unconciously, we complement each other.

in a world that forbids criss-crossed fates

-This is a poem made by my friend Airiz Casta for me when we were still Freshies. I so love this poem because she just made this while we're talking inside the photo lab, (dark room). She's just awesome. I treasure this because its the first time someone made me a poem.

Day 19 — A talent of yours

I don't think I have any special talents. hahahaa

But, I just want to share this things and I hope that this will be considered a talent. :)

--------------------
her life is ruined
sometimes it doesn't make sense
until she found you

--------------------

miss red riding hood
jump on my old sofa bed
come let's play her game

-------------------

The Silent King

He cradled her in his arms
like, a precious gold.
He kissed her forehead
with his gentle lips.
He drove her to school,
carrying her pink lunchbox.
He went to every PTA meeting
Even, join her dance in ballet class.
Until, one day
He learned that its time to let go,
the precious princess
He loved and cared
She went to him
And kiss him in the cheeks
Hug him so tight
and smile her sweet smile.
She never heard him say words of love
Ever since her mom bid goodbye
But, on this special day
He whispered “I love you my princess”

* GOOD NIGHT!
