Ito ang unang nobelang inilabas ni RICKY LEE upang maibahagi sa mga tao ang kanyang talento at mga nabuong kwento.
Limot ko na kung saan ko unang narinig ang libro basta naalala ko lang na gusto kong basahin ito dahil natuwa ako sa tagline:

"Me quota ang pag-ibig. Sa bawat limang umiibig ay isa lang ang magiging maligaya. Kasama ka ba sa quota?"

Intriguing diba?

Nakakatuwang isipin na sa isang libro ay may nabuong limang kwento.. Lima nga lang ba?

Unang Kwento: Irene

Isa sa paborito kong kwento. :) Simple pero malungkot. (*malungkot nga ba?). Hindi na kailangan ng masusing paglalahad.
Isang pangakong kinalimutan. Pangako na dinala sa kawalan at nagsimula ng hinagpis.
Si Jordan. Siya ang dahilan. Sabi niya kasi "Pag laki mo, pakakasalan kit."
Katulad ng ibang kababaihang naniwala sa pag-ibig, nabuhay siya sa isang pangako.
Matutupad kaya ito?
May quota ang pag-ibig diba?


Pangalawang Kwento: Sandra (*ang tauhang hinangaan ko sa huli.)

Ang kwentong pinakabawal sa lahat ng "pinakabawal." Tinatawag nilang immoral sa bayan ng mga moral. Ikinubli niya ang alaala ng nakalipas. Binuhay ang sarili sa kung ano lamang ang nararapat. Kung hindi patas, hindi balanse. HINDI tama.
Pinilit niyang kalimutan ang mapait na nakalipas ngunit ayaw siyang pakawalan ng maling alaala lalo na't may iniwan itong magandang requierdo.
Sa kanyang pagtulog kanyang itinatanong "Kamusta na kaya si Kuya?"
May space pa kaya si Sandra sa quota?


Ikatlong Kwento: Erica

Nakapunta ka na ba sa Maldiaga? Ang lugar kung saan hindi marunong magmahal ang mga tao.
Si Erica -- isang babaeng inosente at ignorante sa totoong mundo. Pangarap niya maging artista. Matupad kaya ito?
Madali siyang mahalin ngunit paano kaya nila papatunayan?
Manhid nga ba siya?
Si Erica na ba ang isa sa limang magiging masaya?


Ikaapat na Kwento: Ester

Sapat na ang saya. Hindi kailangang lubos...
May sikretong kaligayahan. Kaligayahang patuloy na ipinaglalaban sa buong mundo. Kasiyahang hindi pinapanigan ng karamihan.
Si Ester at si Sara -- masaya na silang magkasama habang pinagmamasdan ang bubong na gumuhit ng pagmamahalan.
Ester: "MAY MAS MAHALAGA PA NAMAN KESA SA PISIKAL."
Karapat dapat ba si Ester sa quota?

Ikalimang Kwento: Bessie

Ang malandi sa lahat ng malalandi. Ang hindi marunong magmahal ngunit magaling sa maraming bagay. Hmmm. Immoral. Pokpok. Hudas. Ahas. at marami pang kasukdulan.
Magbabago kaya siya?
May karapatan ba si Bessie sa Quota ng Pag-ibig?

Si Bessie... o Si Lucas?

Si Lucas na siyang nagmahal kay Bessie.
Pwede kaya si Lucas sa Quota? Dahil siya ang nagmahal ng taong hindi karapat dapat?

Sino ang may puwang sa quota?
Si Lucas kaya magiging masaya?

May quota nga ba talaga ang Pag-ibig?

...Paminsanminsan sa gabi'y napapaluhod siya sa madilim na silid at pilit na inaalala ang isang letra...

Innocence

The little girl who never fails to amuse and irritate us -- all at the same time. She is very grumpy. But, at times she will be very sweet and lovely.. Para bang anghel! :) Especially when she wants something. *nauubos na english namin sayo. haha!

She loves to watch TV and she can watch the whole day. If we will change the channel to our preferred one she'll get mad and quarrel everyone. Walang sinasanto tong batang to.

She will be spanked by her grandmas *(mommy mila, mommy edios and mommy ilig). And she will fight back too. Napaka maldita. Sobra.

She also goes to me to defend her and let her watch TV but most of the time she will irritate me. She will pull my hair, spank, kick me etc. ABA? papayag ba naman akong magpatalo? I also fight back but with a little gentleness :P. And I always win. haha! I'll scare her so that she will behave. I really don't want to hit her because I've noticed that even if she's in pain, it feels like normal for her. MASOCHIST? wah. NAh. Kidding.

They say that she needs extra attention, but, WTH? lahat nga ng attention nasa kanya eh!.
May ADHD ata tong pamangkin ko. hahaha

Well, I just made this blog because I have an achievement.!

Napatulog ko siya. OH YES! haha. she's silently sleeping in our room like an angel.
Maybe, when she already know how to use the computer I will let her read this blog entry. And umaasa ako na pag laki niya isa na siyang BEHAVE na bata.

I passed.

I'm so happy not only because of our celebration kanina but MOSTLY to the fact that I passed and I will be a 3rd year College Student this coming School Year. :))

Siguro masaya lang makita yun lahat ng results ng pinaghirapan mo.

They say that they envy us because we always travel and go to places just to shoot for our photojourn (pero oo MASAYA TALAGA YUN!) but, we have other major subjects that we are really scared. Not because the prof is strict, he isn't. Super luwag nga eH, as in. Its just that he's too "magaling". We can't reach his expectations and until now, we have a trouble writing a straight news story. Hindi madali ang mag sulat, mahirap. LALO na ang straight news and professor mo pa si Sir Gil. Matututo ka talagang magtyaga na magrevise ng magrevise ng article mo! If you felt that its already your best pero pag pinabasa mo sa kanya... haha! sorry ka na lang its not even good.

Anyway, I still like Sir Gil, ang dami niyang alam. We gain many NEW ideas and FACTS from him. Anything under the sun. Nasasagot niya. hahaha nalulula na lang kami minsan eh! hahahaha

But, atleast, IM LEARNING... :))

Now, I don't have any problems....

Time's Up (poetry)

This is poem is one of the finalists in our school's writing contest *i hope you'll like it too.

THEME: TIMELINE

Darkness came
Soon, brightness faded
When his visions opened
two heartbeats echoed

His skin blanched
As breezy air arises
When dried leaves flew around
He began to stare...

Stare
and stare
To the lady
He called, "life"

His tears trickle
and mouth tried to utter
But in a sudden hush
Lights flickered

Brightness reappeared
Without hesitation...
He flinched.
When the voice whispered "TIME's UP"

I don't have an inspiration in this one.. I just imagine someone who was given a chance to amend the past but when he is about to make a move, he can't bring back the old times anymore. Feels like your in a dream thinking it was reality.

- FRIDAY, Feb. 27 (HealthDay News) -- You might look like you're not paying attention when you doodle, but science says otherwise.

Researchers in the United Kingdom found that test subjects who doodled while listening to a recorded message had a 29 percent better recall of the message's details than those who didn't doodle. The findings were published in Applied Cognitive Psychology.

"If someone is doing a boring task, like listening to a dull telephone conversation, they may start to daydream," study researcher Professor Jackie Andrade, of the School of Psychology at the University of Plymouth, said in a news release issued by the journal's publisher. "Daydreaming distracts them from the task, resulting in poorer performance. A simple task, like doodling, may be sufficient to stop daydreaming without affecting performance on the main task."

For the experiment, a two-and-a-half minute listing of several people's names and places was played for test subjects, who were charged with writing down only the names of the people said to be attending a party. During the recording, half the participants were asked to simultaneously shade in shapes on a piece of paper without attention to neatness. Participants were not told they were taking part in a memory test.

When the recording ended, all were asked for the eight names of those attending the party as well as eight place names mentioned in the audio. Those asked to doodle wrote down, on average, 7.5 names and places, while those who didn't doodle listed only 5.8.

"In psychology, tests of memory or attention will often use a second task to selectively block a particular mental process," Andrade said. "If that process is important for the main cognitive task, then performance will be impaired. My research shows that beneficial effects of secondary tasks, such as doodling, on concentration may offset the effects of selective blockade."

In everyday life, Andrade said, doodling "may be something we do because it helps to keep us on track with a boring task, rather than being an unnecessary distraction that we should try to resist doing."
