Not only because of This Lullaby by Sarah Dessen but books. I have many things on my mind right now and I need to escape. Thanks to my beloved books...
Just finished this book awhile ago. And some lines in the books, touched my heart.
"Love is needing someone. Love is putting up with someone's bad qualities because they somehow complete you."
"Some things don't last forever, but some things do. Like a good song, or a good book, or a good memory you can take out and unfold in your darkest times, pressing down on the corners and peering in close, hoping you still recognize the person you see there."

Books can definitely be a great escape. I can't understand it when someone says they don't like to read - it's ridiculous to me, because I can't see how anyone can NOT like it!

@Taylor That is so true. I always get sad when someone tells me that they haven't read a book. I was like, what did you do when you're a kid? Yesterday, I'm talking to my friend about her blog post also about reading.
ReplyDeleteIt talks about the Literacy Foundation. The foundation has a tagline that says "When a child doesn't read, Imagination disappears."
I think the same thing! I can't believe that some people don't like reading, when I LOVE it SO much! My childhood was full to the brim with BOOKS! And that quote is definitely true. Books are amazing!
