Betrayal

She heard everyone's there.
Laughing and having a great time.

She left her room to have fun thinking that another party organized by her cousin.
She tried to hide the feelings that she's keeping ever since that painful day happened.

She made her way downstairs. Everyone's eyes on her. She smiled but no one returned her smile. All eyes where shocked, worried... And feels like something's wrong.

She was about to speak when she felt numbness in every part of her body. She can't move even if she wants to.

She saw the man who broke her heart two weeks ago, holding her cousin's hand and offering words of love.

Then she realized she's in her own house. Attending an engagement party with his ex boyfriend and beloved cousin. How sweet is that?

She tried not to flinch while half of the crowd is looking at her.
She felt all the pain coming in. She wished that the floor will came into life and swallow her but, reality bites it will never happen.

She made her way out. No one's there to comfort her.

She went outside to hold her emotions. Her dad is in New York. Her sisters were nowhere to be found. She was all alone.

And in a sudden snap, she forgot the pain. The heartache. Everything...

She went back inside her house. Walked straight to her cousin. Hugged her tight with a very fake smile. She never laid her eyes to her cousin's fiance. She looked at her cousin and then to her Aunt... She turned around and smiled to all the guests...

She gave her best wishes. A fake speech that swooned everyone as if she's really happy for the couple.

Lies... Perfidy...abandonment... It all leads to betrayal.

A thing that she hated for years.
She went away leaving all the bad memories behind. No one knew where she stayed.

Some says in Greece because its her dream place. Friends predicted that she went to New York to work. And a few said she went to Paris.

Two years and no word from the girl who is idolized by many. Loved by some. Hated by insecure sluts.

maybe. just maybe she tried to stay in the land of what might have been, for a while.
