I believe in spirits of loved ones visiting your place like there's a sudden flower scent in the room when you didn't spray any perfume. Also, when you smell the blown candle but I never really believed that spirits could play with you. Until, one day when my Mama received some big cash and she was trying to do a monthly budget. We had lunch then Mama proceeded with her unfinished work. On the spur of the moment, she called me asking if I have entered the room before she does. I didn't. She said that she hid a bundle of money under her pillows but, she can't find it. Everyone was trying to find the money in every corner of the house. (Funny, come on?! bat mapupunta sa Sala kung sa kwarto lang naman nilagay! but we don't have a choice we tried to look everywhere.) Mama even showed us the remaining money in the envelope. She count it one by one a hundred times but the money didn't show up. She went to tita's room and they cried! Because Mama smelled flower scents in the room while she's trying to find the money. She felt that maybe its lolo and lola trying to say that "Hoy, alalahanin niyo naman kami." Mama came back to her room and tried to count the money in the envelopes again. She turned pale when she'd seen it already placed inside an envelope with the other stuff. It was even folded in to two. We all got goosebumps after. Maybe my Lolo really wanted his children to remember them. He made it, to send a message or just wanted to say HI!. It's unbelievable but it really happened.

I'm not a lolo's girl nor a lola's girl. I have not seen my grandfathers because they already died before I was born. My Lola Zening is still alive she lives in Bataan so I can just see her often. My Lola Pol (the one they say my look a like) lived in the house for quite some time but we didn't have that lola-apo talk or anything. Maybe, because she can't speak tagalog fluently. To be honest, I envy my friends who still have their lolo or lola. I never really felt a lolo or lola's love that much. Until, one night, I dreamt of my Lola Pol. We were just sitting outside a house the surroundings was so peaceful then she smiled at me and kissed me on the cheeks. When I woke up, it felt like I can still feel her kiss. I don't know what's the sign but I think it means she's proud of me and she wants to say to Mama that she's already happy in heaven. I hope I read the signs right.
I don't consider the kiss a creepy moment but a sign from up above that there's really happiness up there. I just hope one day I could know my lolos and lolas better. Someday. :)
